En una noche que debió ser lluvia
o en el muelle de un puerto tal vez inexistente
o en una tarde clara, sentado a una mesa sin nadie,
se me cayó una parte mía.
No ha dejado ningún hueco.
Es más: pareciera algo que ha llegado
y no algo que se ha ido.
Pero ahora,
en las noches sin lluvia,
en las ciudades sin muelles,
en las mesas sin tardes,
me siento de repente mucho más solo
y no me animo a palparme,
aunque todo parezca estar en su sitio,
quizá todavía un poco más que antes.
Y sospecho que hubiera sido preferible
quedarme en aquella perdida parte mía
y no en este casi todo
que aún sigue sin caer.
